Centre for University–Industry Collaboration (CUIC)
(previously known as the Industry and Community Network Office (ILCO))

CUIC operates under the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and is responsible for coordinating and managing matters related to industry and community collaborations. This includes establishing partnerships, managing activities related to industry networking, and acting as a facilitator to identify relevant industries.

Objectives


  • Serves as a reference centre for networking between the University, industries, agencies, and the community.
  • Ensures that collaborations and engagements with industries and the community are implemented in an impactful and continuous manner.
  • Monitors and coordinates all networking activities to ensure alignment with the University’s vision and mission.
  • Acts as a facilitator for staff and students in identifying suitable industries or agencies for attachments, industrial training, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Strengthens strategic partnerships and engagements with universities, industries, government agencies, and communities at the state, national, regional, and international levels.
